Meet Arlene Gray

I'm Arlene Gray, a native New Yorker, Licensed Cosmetologist, Certified Cranial Prosthesis Specialist, and CEO & Founder of OGP Medical Wigs, a division of Arlene Gray Enterprises.

My passion for helping individuals experiencing hair loss is deeply personal.

Growing up, I watched my mother struggle with alopecia. At the time, I didn't understand what alopecia was or why she was losing her hair. What I did understand was the impact it had on her confidence. My mother often wore a wig or head covering, even at home, and seeing her navigate the emotional challenges of hair loss left a lasting impression on me.

Watching someone I loved experience the emotional effects of hair loss inspired me to learn more about hair loss solutions and ultimately dedicate my career to helping others facing similar challenges.

Finding My Purpose

Before entering this field, I worked in healthcare and caregiving, where I witnessed how medical challenges affect people not only physically, but emotionally as well. I've always been drawn to serving others, but it wasn't until I combined that passion with my background as a Cosmetologist that I truly found my calling.

I began to notice something powerful—when a woman is experiencing hair loss due to chemotherapy, alopecia, or other medical conditions, it's not just about losing hair. It's about losing a part of herself.

And that stayed with me.

Why OGP Medical Wigs Exists

I created OGP Medical Wigs to provide personalized medical wig and cranial prosthesis solutions for individuals experiencing hair loss due to cancer, alopecia, chemotherapy, and other medical conditions.

My mission is simple: to provide expert guidance, compassionate support, and natural-looking solutions that help clients feel comfortable, confident, and like themselves again.

Because this is more than hair.

It's about restoring confidence, preserving dignity, and helping people navigate one of life's most challenging moments with support they can trust.

How I Help Clients Today

As a Certified Cranial Prosthesis Specialist, I help clients find the right medical wig while also assisting with insurance verification and reimbursement guidance whenever possible.

I understand that the insurance process can feel overwhelming, which is why I work to make it as simple and stress-free as possible.

Understanding that travel isn't always easy during treatment or recovery, I also offer mobile consultations and services for clients in the comfort of their homes, hospitals, assisted living communities, and nursing homes.

Looking Ahead

I'm excited to continue growing OGP Medical Wigs and look forward to welcoming clients to my private studio, coming soon, where individuals will be able to receive personalized consultations in a comfortable, supportive, and discreet setting.

My long-term vision is to expand access to medical wigs, cranial prostheses, and hair loss support services throughout Africa and the Caribbean so that more individuals have access to the care, support, and confidence they deserve.
